AcuPages.com Q&A

Q: Why did you decide to be an acupuncturist?
The standard medical model of medicine had become "sick-care" as opposed to health care. Traditional, holistic systems provide care for people not diseases that works!
Q: What work/education experience makes you a better acupuncturist ?
Dr. Moore has been a professor at the Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture. Before this, Dr. Moore spent four years on staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital's Center for Integrative Medicine, in Chicago. In addition to patient care Dr. Moore's responsibilities included teaching and leading rounds for Northwestern University Medical students and residents. He also coordinated a research project studying the effectiveness of herbal therapy in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome.

His education integrated a complete Traditional Chinese Medical curriculum, with Western Medicine, which included the study of biochemistry, clinical psychology, nutrition, lab data analysis, pathology, pharmacology, and applied clinical internal medicine.

Dr. Moore is looking forward to welcoming you as a patient. For general healthcare, sports injuries, digestive problems, stress management, reproductive health, or even the common cold.
