Practice Description

There is a saying in Chinese Medicine that in all matters of pain, you must also treat the Heart. I have found that Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture is one of the most effective methods to faciitate true healing from the outside in, and the inside out. I feel our society is in a state of collective post-traumatic stress. More people are coming to me with complaints of anxiety, fearfulness, and emotional distress complicating their bodily aches and pains. When the body is traumatized by injury or illness the spirit suffers. When the spirit is traumatized by alienation and betrayal, the body suffers. Acupuncture is "The Secret" to changing your vibrational energy and a proven method of true multidimensional healing. You will receive personalized, one on one care from a compassionate and holistic perpective. you will be supported and empowered to partner in your healing journey. Your will have the opportunity to connect to the place within where your inner truth, trust, and self-healing capabilities reside.

AcuPages.com Q&A

Q: Why did you decide to be an acupuncturist?

I am a lifelong student of health and healing. I have over 25 years experience as a healer, beginning in Physical Therapy. In Physical Therapy, the use of electrical stimulation was based on the Electro-Acupuncture research. That experience has helped me greatly in treating orthopedics and pain management. My personal journey with Chronic Fatigue (CFIDS) and my brother's journey with HIV/AIDS led me to explore alternative healing solutions at a time when Western Medicine had few options. I have a special interest in the treatment of Post-Traumatic (PTSD) and Delayed Stress Syndromes based on my own experiences. I believe many Immune Deficiency and Auto-Immune conditions will be found to be a result of this. Trauma spriritually and physically disorients us, and this must be identified and addressed for healing to begin. This is my Life's path and work.

Q: What work/education experience makes you a better acupuncturist ?

I have an extensive background in alternative and allopathic medicine. I've worked in Hospitals, Orthopedic Clinics, and have taught and marketed Physical Therapy Equipment and Home Infusion Therapy services for Cancer and HIV/AIDS. I made post-surgical rounds with a prominent spinal surgeon for 3 years. I receive many of my referrals from well respected medical practitioners. My training and practice includes: Classical Chinese Medicine (Jeffrey Yuen), Esoteric Acupuncture (Dr. Mikio Sankey), Aromatherapy, Physical Medicine, CranioSacral (Upledger), Hypnosis and Past Life Regression (Dick Sutphen and Henry Bolduc), Myofascial Release, Sound Healing with Tuning Forks, and Energy Psychology (TAT-Tapas Acupressure Technique). The greatest gift you can give to yourself is a return to wholeness.

Q: What about your personal interests?

Eclectic and curious are concepts that can well describe me. I was an Art major in High School and early in college. I love the arts, reading, music, movies. Yoga challenges me. Astrology, especially Evolutionary Astrology, has broadened my perspective on life experiences and cycles. The journey continues... "There are two ways to life your life-one is as though nothing is a miracle; the other is as though everything is a miracle." Albert Einstein "All who wander are not lost." J.R.R. Tolkien "Be good to yourself...If you don't take care of your body, where will you live?" Kobi Yamada
