AcuPages.com Q&A

Q: Why did you decide to be an acupuncturist?
After many years of unsuccessfully dealing with my own chronic health problems through Western medicine treatment protocols, I decided to try acupuncture as a last resort after being urged to do so by a good friend. Six months later, I was a new person free from my chronic health problems. I decided that I needed learn how to practice this medicine myself so that I could help others.
Q: What work/education experience makes you a better acupuncturist ?
Prior to being a licensed acupuncturist, I worked as a x-ray technologist for fifteen years at one of the larger Portland area hospitals. My background in western medicine lends a more holistic approach to the way I practice and in addressing your healthcare needs. I have always enjoyed working in the healthcare arena because I find great satisfaction in helping people to feel better.
Q: What about your personal interests?
In addition to being the busy mother of two children, I also enjoy staying physically fit, gardening, and reading.
