Classical Five Element Acupuncture (CFEA) is a unique and powerful system of medicine, which treats the underlying energetic causes of illness. More than simply relieving symptoms, CFEA promotes healing at a deep level, with sustainable, lasting results. By treating the root of illness, CFEA heals body, mind and spirit from the inside out.
People seek out CFEA for many conditions, including physical ailments, emotional issues, general well-being, and reducing or avoiding the need for prescription medication. Adjunctive therapies, including body work (Zero Balancing), herbal medicine, and dietary and lifestyle guidance, may also be recommended for some clients. |

I practice acupuncture because I believe it offers a form of healing that people in my country (USA) deeply need.
I worked in the Western health care system, as a public health researcher, for many years before becoming an acupuncturist. I understand the strengths and weaknesses of Western medicine.
Chinese medicine offers a completely different way of understanding the body and healing. It is strong in areas where Western medicine is weak. Specifically, I consider my modality of choice (Classical Five Element acupuncture) to be particularly helpful for (1) chronic conditions with multi-factorial causes and a complex symptom manifestation (e.g., fibromyalgia, migraines) and (2) mind/body ailments where emotional and physical issues are intertwined.
